Dumo Village, designated in 2005 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry as a Green Rural Experience Village, is a very clean village where first-class river water flows through the middle of the village, and ayu, freshwater crabs, and freshwater eels live there.

In 683, after Master Wonhyo built a hermitage here, practiced austerities, and had a vision of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, the mountain was named Bogwangsan, and the hermitage was named Bogwangsa.
